RADIOLOGY SCHEDULER - CLERK II
Radiology Scheduler - Clerk IIThis position functions under the indirect supervision of the Radiology Supervisor. The Radiology Clerk is responsible for clerical and scheduling duties that require proficiency, attention to detail, independent judgment, and initiative to ensure efficient radiology and cardiorespiratory scheduling and front desk operations.
High School Diploma or GED required; Ability to type a minimum of 30 words per minute; Strong communication skills and telephone etiquette; Computer knowledge and experience; Knowledge of medical terminology preferred; One year of radiology experience preferred.
Schedule radiology and cardiorespiratory exams accurately in Cerner; Verify and clarify provider orders, diagnoses, and exam appropriateness; Check patients in and prepare exams in Cerner; Ensure completion of required screening forms; Collaborate with hospital departments to coordinate outpatient procedures; Operate office equipment including phones, fax, copier, computers, and CD burners; Prepare CDs and obtain/document Release of Information; Communicate issues to PACS, IT, Health Information, or supervisors; Assist patients, guests, radiologists, providers, and nurses; Encourage teamwork and accountability; Participate in education related to new equipment and departmental policies; Complete required EMR documentation.

Exposure to environmental conditions including radiation, noise, infectious diseases, bloodborne pathogens, chemicals, fumes, dust, and odors; Frequent exposure to distressed patients, families, or visitors.
Possible schedules may include full-time 8-hour day shifts depending on position availability.
