Brief DescriptionLewis and Clark County Treasurer/Clerk & Recorder is recruiting for a Records Clerk I. Under general supervision of the Records Division Supervisor, this position records and indexes documents relating to land records, federal tax liens, discharges from military service and powers of attorney.Who We AreThe Records Department is responsible for the recording, scanning and indexing of deeds, mortgages, surveys, mining work, resolutions, military discharges and many other various documents. The Department also files birth and death records, federal tax liens, notices of action, attachments, judgments, executions and other miscellaneous documents. Associates degree in Business or Office Technology, and land and title experience preferred. Position requires knowledge and use of typical office equipment including telephone, computer terminals and personal computer.
