We are currently seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Mental Health Technician to join our team atHendricks Behavioral Hospital!
As a Mental Health Technician (MHT), you'll be an integral part of our treatment team, providing continuous care, supervision, and positive role modeling to patients across various age groups from adolescents to geriatrics. Working under the guidance of a Registered Nurse, you'll contribute to creating a therapeutic environment that fosters patient support and well-being.
Accurately record vital signs
Exercise judgment in patient interactions and report changes to the RN
Follow therapeutic interventions outlined by the treatment team and provide information for development and revision
Employ crisis-intervention techniques, conduct MHT-led groups, and use facility-approved CPI techniques
Assist patients through discharge, guide in adjusting to life changes, and help with personal hygiene
Comply with policies for a safe, clean, and therapeutic environment, practicing universal precautions and responding to patient care priorities.
Your Experience MattersWhat were looking for:
Education:High School Degree or equivalent preferred; Certified Nursing or NAR required; Degree from an accredited college or university in social work, recreational therapy, psychology, human services, or appropriate therapeutic discipline preferred. Agency Affiliated Counselor registration in the state of Washington is preferred.
Experience:One year of related experience, with a knowledge of psychiatric patient care techniques with an understanding of mental illness, preferred.
Additional Skill Requirements:Successful completion CPR certification and crisis intervention training within 10 days of employment prior to assisting with restraining procedures. May be required to work flexible hours. Successful completion of Agency Affiliated Counselor certification within 60 days.

Compensation:
This is a full-time role and the expected compensation range is $19.00- 24.00 hourly. Were eager to engage with all qualified candidates, and consideration will be provided to experience and skill level.
