This role serves as a trusted advisor to leadership and employees, providing guidance across employee relations, performance management, and organizational development. The position is also responsible for leading full-cycle recruiting for mid- to senior-level roles, including posting opportunities, sourcing and building talent pipelines, partnering with hiring managers on proactive workforce planning, and ensuring a strong candidate experience.This role plays a critical part in shaping a culture focused on trust, performance, accountability, and engagement. The ideal candidate demonstrates sound judgment, discretion, and the ability to balance employee advocacy with business priorities while working collaboratively with leadership to anticipate and meet evolving talent and organizational needs.What We’re Looking For: · Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business, or a related discipline, or equivalent HR experience· HR certification such as SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP, PHR, or SPHR preferred· An experienced HR Generalist and Recruiter who can fully own the employee lifecycle for a 40+ employee organization, from hiring through offboarding. Ideally seeking someone that has managed HR for an organization over 50 to support additional compliance requirements. · Strong background in employee relations, compliance, performance management, and terminations, with the judgment and discretion to handle sensitive matters· Proven recruiting experience, including mid- to senior-level and executive roles, with the ability to assess both skill and culture alignment· Comfortable partnering with leadership and an existing PEO to execute HR operations, compensation planning, and scalable people processes· A trusted, execution-focused leader who builds credibility quickly, fosters a culture of trust and accountability, and drives measurable performance outcomes What You’ll Do:Employee Lifecycle OwnershipOwn the full employee lifecycle from recruiting through onboarding, performance management, development, and offboardingLead onboarding and offboarding processes to ensure a consistent, compliant, and welcoming employee experienceConduct exit interviews and analyze trends to support retention strategiesEmployee Relations and ComplianceServe as the primary point of contact for employee relations matters, including performance issues, conflict resolution, investigations, and terminationsEnsure compliance with federal, state, and employment laws and best practicesManage sensitive employee matters with professionalism, confidentiality, and empathyPartner with leadership to execute terminations appropriately and compliantlyPEO PartnershipAct as the internal HR lead and liaison to the organization’s PEOPartner with the PEO on compliance support, and policy guidanceEnsure internal processes align with PEO requirements while meeting business needsPerformance Management and CoachingDesign, implement, and manage performance management processesCoach managers on delivering feedback, documenting performance, and driving accountabilitySupport leaders with performance improvement plans and coaching strategiesCreate and track performance metrics tied to individual, team, and organizational goalsCulture and EngagementHelp build and sustain a culture of trust, transparency, accountability, and employee happinessPartner with leadership to reinforce values, behaviors, and expectationsSupport team development, feedback loops, and engagement initiativesBe a visible, approachable HR presence across the organizationRecruiting and Talent AcquisitionManage end-to-end recruiting for a variety of roles, including mid- to senior-level and executive positionsPartner with leadership to understand hiring needs, competencies, and success profilesDevelop and execute effective sourcing strategiesScreen, interview, and assess candidates for both skill and culture alignmentProvide a high-touch, professional candidate experience from first contact through offer and onboardingCompensation and Workforce PlanningSupport compensation planning and administration in partnership with leadershipProvide input on market benchmarking, internal equity, and role levelingSupport workforce planning and organizational growth initiativesKnowledge, Skills, and AbilitiesMinimum of 3+ years of progressive HR experience in a generalist roleMinimum of 3+ years of full cycle recruiting, including headhunting and proactive outreach to build a pipelineExperience managing HR for organizations with 50+ employeesStrong background in employee relations, compliance, and terminationsProven experience owning and managing the full employee lifecycleDemonstrated experience recruiting mid- and senior-level roles, including executive recruitingInsurance industry experience is a plusExperience partnering with and maximizing a PEO relationshipStrong working knowledge of employment laws and HR best practicesAbility to work independently and execute with minimal oversightStrong emotional intelligence and ability to build trust at all levels of the organizationExcellent communication, judgment, and problem-solving skillsBenefitsPaid time offHealth, dental, and vision benefitsRetirement plan optionsPartnership with a PEO providing comprehensive HR and benefits support
