Production Maintenance Associate (Swing Shift)

DescriptionThe schedule for this position is Monday–Thursday 3:00pm–2:00am, overtime as needed (Three day weekends!!) The Production Maintenance Associate supports the day-to-day operation of our production floor. This role assists in maintaining and repairing the equipment used in our headwear manufacturing operations, including industrial embroidery machines, heat press equipment, automated cutting systems, forming and finishing equipment, air compressors, and material handling systems.You’ll help with preventive maintenance, troubleshoot equipment issues, and respond when machines need attention. This includes working with mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems to keep equipment running safely and efficiently.This position plays an important role in supporting production by completing work orders, assisting with repairs, performing routine maintenance, and helping minimize downtime. You’ll work closely with production supervisors and operators to keep operations moving and maintain a safe work environment.If you enjoy hands-on work, learning new systems, and solving problems in a fast-paced manufacturing environment, this is a great opportunity to grow your skills.Essential Duties And ResponsibilitiesAssist with routine inspections and maintenance on mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and facility systemsTroubleshoot equipment issues and support timely repairsPerform preventive maintenance tasks to reduce equipment downtimeRepair and replace basic components such as belts, chains, bearings, and motors with guidance as neededAssist with installation, removal, and relocation of equipment and machinerySupport facility improvement projects, including basic carpentry, painting, and general repairsHelp maintain pneumatic systems, including valves, cylinders, and compressorsAssist with troubleshooting equipment controls and basic PLC-related tasksRead and follow equipment manuals, work instructions, and basic schematicsMaintain maintenance logs and documentationFollow lockout/tagout (LOTO) procedures and all safety standardsSafely operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and scissor lifts (or willingness to be trained)Assist with general facility upkeep, including basic plumbing, grounds maintenance, and cleanlinessRespond to maintenance needs on the production floor as they ariseWork at heights using ladders or lifts as neededLift up to 50 poundsPerform additional duties as assignedRequirementsEducation & Experience2+ years of maintenance, mechanical, or related experience preferredTechnical training, trade school, or relevant coursework is a plusEquivalent combination of education and hands-on experience consideredTechnical SkillsBasic mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skillsFamiliarity with hand and power toolsExposure to electrical, pneumatic, or hydraulic systems is a plusAbility to learn to read and interpret technical documents and schematicsWillingness to learn PLC systems and manufacturing equipmentAdditional RequirementsBasic computer skillsStrong problem-solving mindset and willingness to learnAbility to work both independently and as part of a teamGood communication and responsiveness in a production environment
