Accounting Manager

Company Description:AVSeeds is Canadian PE owned, and the oldest agriculture and wildflower seed company in the state of Colorado. We procure seeds from across the US and sell throughout the Rocky Mountain region to farmers, landscapers, homeowners, governments, sports teams and golf courses. Role Description:We are seeking a full-time Accounting Manager to join our team on-site in Denver, CO (no remote). The Accounting Manager will oversee and manage the daily accounting functions including; bank deposits, receiving inventory, posting vendor and customer transactions and payroll. The role will also support HR functions and general office management. The Accounting Manager will be responsible for producing and presenting monthly and quarterly financial statements for board reviews, account reconciliations with journal entries and performance reports. This role involves analyzing financial data to identify trends and support the GM's decision-making, while ensuring compliance with accounting standards and regulations. Preferred Qualifications:Managed a small accounting department autonomouslyPrevious experience in manufacturing, distribution, or industrial sectors with a clear understanding of BOMs, gross / profit margins, costing and inventory controlsStrong knowledge of financial statements, journal entries and preparing board reportsAdept with cash management, operating capital, budgets and projectionsExceptional analytical skills to evaluate financial dataThorough understanding of HR and regulatory complianceBachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a business related field is requiredPreference given to those with protein, produce or agriculture rolesAdvanced proficiency in modern ERP systems and financial software
