While no one knows what's going to change the world next, our people are already working on it.THE WORKThis position is for a Manufacturing Engineer working in the Aerostructures Engineering Platform Team. Manufacturing Engineering (ME) responsibilities include tasks from the design phase to the manufacturing/test phase.During the design phase the candidate’s responsibilities will include coordination with Design, performing producibility review, generating work instructions and ordering tooling to execute fabrication or procurement of airframe details, assemblies and installations to support Programs. ME will work with the design engineers during basic and detail design phases to assure design is producible and can be fabricated to meet cost and schedule targets. In addition, the ME will be required to provide status on all ME activities associated with the assigned Program.During the manufacturing/test phase the candidate will provide technical support to Operations during aircraft assembly and respond to Sikorsky airframe supplier inquiries.
