Residential Service Provider (12-Hr Weekend Day Shift 8a-8p)

POSITION SUMMARY The Peer Recovery Specialist (Residential Staff) offers the opportunity to work in a dynamic, team- oriented, recovery housing environment helping individuals along the path of long-term recovery. The Specialists will work as an integral part of a multi-functioning team that works interdependently with each other. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES The essential functions include, but are not limited to the following: Supervise residents for extended time periods. Maintain a high level of engagement with all residents to ensure an environment of recovery is being maintained. Monitor residents’ activities, groups, chore lists, weekly phone calls, etc. Maintain a positive, professional attitude toward residents, staff, and volunteers. Participate in house group activities (as director by Program Director and/or Care Coordinator). Handle crisis situations in a calm supportive manner. Maintain confidentiality and comply with company, state, federal and HIPPA rules and regulations. Create a safe and healthy environment for residents. Complete drug screening. Comply with random employee drug screening. Other assigned duties. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS (KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES) B.A./B.S. preferred but will substitute degree for engaged life experience Certified Peer Recovery Specialists (or in current pursuit of CPRS) Valid driver's license Self-motivated Availability to work some evening, overnight and/or weekend shifts Good communication skills Ability to maintain program requirements and boundaries with compassion and respect Problem solving abilities Ability to complete and submit reports PHYSICAL DEMANDS AND WORK ENVIRONMENT The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this position.
