Job Title: Technical Program ManagerLocation:remoteDuration of Contract: Long TermAbout the RoleWe are looking for a Technical Program Manager to lead complex engineering programssupporting large-scale compute infrastructure. This role sits at the intersection of softwareengineering, infrastructure operations, hardware validation, and automation.You will partner with engineering teams responsible for deployment automation, hardwareburn-in, diagnostics, repair workflows, firmware validation, and operational tooling. While youare not expected to be a hardware engineer, you should be comfortable working alongsidehighly technical specialists, asking the right questions, understanding engineering tradeoffs, anddriving informed business decisions.Success in this role requires strong technical judgment, structured problem-solving, and theability to drive execution across multiple engineering organizations.Responsibilities● Lead the software team driving automation across infrastructure and hardwareoperations● Drive Agile program execution, sprint planning, roadmap tracking, dependencymanagement, and release coordination.● Partner with hardware, firmware, software, reliability, SRE, and operations teams todeliver complex infrastructure initiatives.● Facilitate technical decision-making by translating engineering recommendations intobusiness outcomes.● Evaluate tradeoffs between reliability, quality, operational efficiency, customer impact,and delivery timelines.● Manage cross-functional communication across engineering, product, operations, andleadership.● Identify program risks, remove blockers, and drive resolution across multiplestakeholders.● Build executive-ready status updates, dashboards, KPIs, and program reporting.● Coordinate infrastructure deployment, validation, and operational readiness activities.● Drive continuous improvements through automation, operational tooling, and processoptimization.Required Qualifications● 8+ years of Technical Program Management, Engineering Program Management, orrelated experience.● Experience managing complex infrastructure or platform engineering programs.● Strong understanding of Agile, Scrum, SDLC, and large-scale software delivery.● Experience working directly with engineering teams responsible for distributed systems,infrastructure, cloud platforms, or operational tooling.● Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to make decisions underambiguity.● Excellent communication skills with the ability to influence technical and executivestakeholders.● Experience managing cross-functional dependencies across multiple engineeringorganizations.Preferred Qualifications● Experience supporting hardware operations, hardware validation, manufacturingsystems, test engineering, or infrastructure reliability.● Experience with deployment automation, diagnostics, firmware validation, or hardwarelifecycle management.● Familiarity with cloud infrastructure (AWS, Azure, GCP), Kubernetes, virtualization, orlarge-scale distributed systems.● Previous software engineering or technical development experience.● Experience working closely with SRE, infrastructure engineering, platform engineering,or reliability engineering teams.● Experience using Jira, Confluence, dashboards, and program analytics.What We're Looking ForThe ideal candidate demonstrates:Technical Judgment● Able to evaluate engineering tradeoffs rather than simply relay stakeholder opinions.● Comfortable making recommendations using incomplete information and available data.Systems Thinking● Understands how component-level decisions impact overall system reliability,operational performance, customer experience, and business outcomes.Engineering Partnership● Can work effectively with highly specialized engineers without needing to be the deepesttechnical expert.● Asks insightful questions and quickly builds context around unfamiliar technical domains.Structured Problem Solving● Breaks down ambiguous problems into logical decision frameworks.● Uses data, assumptions, and risk analysis to arrive at practical recommendations.TPM Excellence● Drives execution through Agile practices, dependency management, stakeholderalignment, and proactive risk management.● Keeps complex cross-functional programs moving forward while maintaining clearcommunication across teams.Operational Mindset● Understands reliability, quality, operational efficiency, and customer impact.● Looks beyond project delivery to long-term operational success.
