This role is responsible for preparing, processing, and shipping customer orders accurately and efficiently. This role ensures orders are complete and shipped on time using shipping software and ERP system while maintaining a high standard of accuracy and organization, including both domestic and international shipments. This role requires strong attention to detail and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.What will your days look like? These are just some of the functions you will be responsible for:Package, label, and prepare products for shipmentVerify order detail against travel ticketPrepare and process domestic and international shipmentsComplete required international shipping documentation, including commercial invoice and customs paperworkProcess shipments in the ERP system and generate shipping documentationVerify outgoing shipments to ensure accuracy and compliance with specificationsEnsure customer orders are fulfilled and shipped correctlyConsolidate and organize shipping orders for efficient dispatchMaintain a clean, organized, and safe work areaAssist with inventory control and cycle counts as neededOperate pallet jacks, conveyors, or sorting bins to deliver or route materials to departments (if trained and certified)Work is performed in a production/warehouse environment with moderate noise levels and potential manufacturing odorsMeets attendance expectations as outlined in the employee handbookPerform other duties as assigned by Manager or LeadSkills/ Experience Required:High school diploma or equivalent12 years of shipping or general warehouse experience preferredBasic computer proficiency: prior experience with ERP systems preferredPrior experience working with UPS or FedEx shipping systems preferredAbility to read and write in EnglishAbility to stand for long periods, bend, kneel, squat, and lift heavy or awkward items up to 50 lbs.Physical and Mental Demands, and Work Environment: The physical and mental demand, and work environmental requirements described here are representative of those individual encounters while performing the essential functions of this position. Use of hands to grasp, handle, control, or feel objects, tools, or controls. Ability to operate warehouse and shipping machinery such as forklift or pallet jacks, with proper training and certification. May use computers requiring repetitive motions such as typing and using a mouse. It is necessary to grasp and miniplate pens, markers, scissors, tape guns and staplers. Specific vision abilities include close vision, distance vision, depth perception and the ability to adjust focus. The employee will spend their time in a production / warehouse environment with moderate noise level and will frequently need to lift up to 50 lbs. alone, occasionally 51-100 lbs. with assistance as a team lift. Also, the employee will need to be able to push/pull up to 50-100 lbs. frequently and on occasion 100-150lbs. Ability to grasp, lift, and carry fabrics, materials and finished product, typically up to 50 pounds. The production / warehouse environment may also have smells or odors from the manufacturing processes present. The actual pay offered may vary based upon, but not limited to: education, skills, experience, certifications, proficiency, performance, shift and location. In addition to hourly pay the total compensation package also includes participation in a profit-sharing program.
