INVENTORY CONTROL COORDINATOR

In this role, you’ll be a key leader ensuring the smooth flow of materials, products, and information throughout our operations. You’ll work closely with supply chain, procurement, customer service, quality, production, and warehousing teams to make sure finished goods are delivered on time and in excellent condition.As the Inventory Control Coordinator, you’ll oversee the movement of raw materials and finished goods, maintain accurate inventory levels, and support warehouse staff in creating a safe, organized, and efficient work environment. If you’re energized by process optimization, collaboration, and driving operational excellence, this is the opportunity for you.This role is designed and intended to be performed in Sheldon, IA.SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:Oversee daily inventory, logistics and receipt operations, ensuring efficiency, safety, and compliance.PRIMARY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:Manage the flow of raw materials and finished goods at Sheldon, IA locationControl inventory at mixing facilities and warehousesOrder packaging and materials to ensure that the necessary supplies are readily available for efficient manufacturing and product deliveryProcess inbound and outbound inventory transactions for ingredients and finished productFunction as a Microsoft AX/D365 power user (Future State)Function as a AS400 and Feed Digest userCommunicate with supply chain management, procurement, customer service, quality and production and warehousing teamsCollaborate with department heads as necessary to ensure coordination of purchasing, production, service, and delivery with the sales functionCoordinate production planning with the Site Supervision and Corporate CommoditiesMonitor daily logistical activity to ensure production quotas are met and targeted deadlines are achievedLead and mentor logistics specialists and warehouse material handlersParticipate as an active member of the Kent network, and all other meeting attendance.Champion safety within the department while influencing plant-wide safety performanceLead month end inventory count and reconciliation processesOther duties as assignedEDUCATION, EXPERIENCE AND/OR QUALIFICATIONS:5+ years’ experience in warehouse and logistics operations or equivalent combination of education and experience is requiredProficient in Microsoft AX/D365 and Microsoft OfficeProficient in AS400 application and QuickbooksExcellent organizational skills, with keen attention to detail and high level of accuracyEffective time management skills are required to meet deadlines and prioritize tasksCollaborate effectively and work within a team environmentExperience in receiving, storing, shipping goods and managing inventoryExperience with Microsoft AX Dynamics or AS400, Excel, and QuickbooksExcellent written and verbal communication skillsAbility to manage multiple projects and priorities at the same time while meeting deadlines.Interpersonal skills, with the ability to establish effective professional relationships with employees, contractors, and outside agencies.Leadership skills, such as the ability to motivate a team and provide feedback.TRAVEL EXPECTED:Up to 10% collaborating with other facilities and for training/conferences
