Learn more about us by visiting www.plenaryamericas.comThe RoleThe EVP will have primary responsibility and accountability for Plenary Americas’ investment in Plenary Broadband Infrastructure ("PBI"), a joint venture between Plenary Americas and Tikehau Star Infra. The EVP will serve as a member of PBI’s Executive Committee, representing Plenary Americas. PBI owns, develops, operates, maintains, and commercializes middle-mile fiber routes for hyperscalers, telecom carriers, fiber-to-the-home (FTTH) providers and data center operators, including unique routes along the entire Pennsylvania Turnpike Right-of-Way (ROW) and major roadways on the North Carolina and Georgia DOT interstate highway systems. The EVP will exercise active board-level oversight while also engaging hands-on in PBI's most consequential commercial, financial, and strategic decisions.Key Responsibilities:Serve as Plenary Americas' representative on the PBI’s Executive Committee and lead active sponsor oversight on behalf of Plenary Americas;Strategic and proactive leadership of Plenary America’s long-term equity interest in PBI, resulting in successfully meeting or exceeding forecasted returns and driving long-term value accretion;Collaborating with PBI senior management to drive long-term value growth and risk managementSupport PBI management in structuring and winning material hyperscale deals — including pricing strategy, contract architecture, and executive-to-executive relationship managementBuild and maintain a trusted senior-level network across the hyperscale ecosystemEngage with senior state DOT leadership and other public agencies granting right-of-way access to PBI's networkDrive material RFP proposals for new DOT and similar routes, working alongside PBI management on bid strategy, pricing, partnership structuring, and government relationsApply Plenary's broader public-private partnership expertise to the unique characteristics of DOT-led fiber procurementsSupport PBI management negotiations of major procurement, EPC, and O&M contracts where senior sponsor involvement adds valueLead PBI-related M&A activity from origination through diligence, structuring, and closing — including tuck-in acquisitions, strategic partnerships, and future financingIdentify and evaluate additional opportunities within U.S. digital infrastructure that may be appropriate for PBI or Plenary Americas more broadly Full ownership of Plenary Americas’ long-term financial forecasting in respect of PBI and working with PBI senior management to review and approve budgets and financial reporting results;Overseeing and helping assess planning and execution of critical PBI operational performance and material capital projects, including business case assessment and measuring forecasted returns and delivery schedule against actual results;Engaging with PBI senior management to assess personnel resource planning; Essential Skills and Qualifications:A minimum of 10 years of experience spanning infrastructure investing, digital infrastructure operations, and/or large-scale public-private partnershipsTrack record of leading complex commercial negotiations with sophisticated counterparties — hyperscalers, government agencies, and large partnersExperience operating in P3 environments and/or in front of state DOT leadership is highly valuedStrong commercial instinct paired with disciplined financial and investment judgmentComfort operating in two modes simultaneously — as an active investor (sponsor lens) and as an operating principal alongside the portfolio companyHighly developed relationship management skills, demonstrated contract management experience, understanding of risk management, and excellent communications skills.Strong work ethic and high level of professional integrity. The successful candidate will demonstrate initiative, commitment, strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.Self-starter with ability to work both independently with minimal guidance and in a team setting.Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office and excellent writing and editing skills.Willingness to learn new skills, software, and technologies.
