Vice President, CMC Product DevelopmentAbout the CompanyGlobally renowned biopharmaceutical companyIndustry PharmaceuticalsType Privately HeldAbout the RoleThe Company is seeking a Vice President for CMC Product Development to lead and strategize the CMC activities for small molecule pharmaceuticals, from preclinical development to commercialization. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing drug substance, drug product, and analytical development initiatives, ensuring compliance with global regulatory standards, and aligning CMC strategies with clinical and commercial objectives. This role involves managing external partnerships with CDMOs and CMOs, contributing to regulatory submissions, and building a high-performing CMC team. The VP will also provide technical expertise for business development opportunities and ensure manufacturing readiness for clinical and commercial supply chains.Applicants must have a Ph.D. or advanced degree in Chemistry, Pharmaceutical Sciences, or Chemical Engineering, with at least 15 years of progressive experience in CMC development for small molecule pharmaceuticals. A proven track record in advancing programs from preclinical to commercial launch, deep knowledge of small molecule process chemistry, formulation, and analytical development, and experience in regulatory submissions and global CMC regulatory requirements are essential. The role requires strong leadership, strategic thinking, and communication skills, as well as the ability to manage external partners and foster innovation within the CMC team.
