Electric Utility Field Operations Manager

The position sets strategic direction, drives operational excellence, and fosters a culture of integrity, safety, and accountability.Key ResponsibilitiesEstablish vision, goals, and policies for Electric Utility Field Operations.Lead and develop teams, promoting a strong culture of safety, performance, and continuous improvement.Oversee operations, ensuring efficient execution of construction, maintenance, and restoration activities.Manage budgets, contracts, and resource allocation to meet organizational objectives.Drive performance through metrics, accountability, and quality control.Ensure compliance with all regulatory, environmental, and industry standards.Lead emergency response and outage restoration efforts.Partner with internal and external stakeholders to enhance system safety, reliability, and efficiency.Leadership ResponsibilitiesProvide full-spectrum leadership: hiring, coaching, performance management, and employee development.Build a high-performing, accountable team aligned with organizational values.Knowledge, Skills, and AbilitiesStrong leadership and operational management experience in electric utility environments.Deep understanding of safety practices, regulatory requirements, and industry standards (NERC, FERC, ERCOT).Proven ability to lead teams, manage change, and drive results.Excellent communication, decision-making, and problem-solving skills.Ability to manage competing priorities and respond effectively in high-pressure situations.Minimum QualificationsHigh school diploma or equivalent, plus 4 years of journey-level or related experience, including certification and 2 years of supervisory experience; ORAssociate degree in a related field may substitute for up to 2 years of non-supervisory experience.OSHA 10 certification (OSHA 20 preferred)Valid Class A CDLStrong commitment to safety and teamworkWork EnvironmentActive, hands-on role with climbing, lifting (up to 50 lbs), and physical workOutdoor work in all weather conditionsRequires strong coordination, vision, and attention to detailWhy KGI Wireless?Competitive benefits: Medical, Dental, Vision (employer paid) plus optional Life and Disability plansHSA with generous employer contribution401(k) with employer matchingOpportunities for advancement and ongoing trainingSupportive team culture that values your expertiseBe part of a team that keeps communities powered and connected.
