Position SummaryOverviewDeloitte Technology US (DT-US), an internal enterprise technology organization within Deloitte, is seeking a Senior Analyst - Software Asset Management (SAM) to join the Software Asset Management team.In this role, you will support SAM initiatives that help Deloitte manage, optimize, and govern its enterprise software portfolio. You will work across software licensing, compliance, cost optimization, entitlement management, usage analysis, and reporting to ensure Deloitte maximizes value from its software investments while reducing risk and improving transparency.This role combines hands-on software asset management execution with data-driven analysis, vendor insight, and process improvement, supporting a governed and insight-led SAM capability aligned with enterprise technology and vendor strategies.Key ResponsibilitiesSoftware Asset Lifecycle ManagementMaintain software asset records including procurement data, contract terms, entitlements, and lifecycle statusTrack renewals, upgrades, co-terms, invoices, and license allocationsSupport software and license request fulfillment (e.g., Microsoft, Adobe, Tableau, Alteryx, AI tools)Maintain accurate data within ServiceNow SAM ProLicense Compliance & OptimizationPerform license compliance activities and entitlement reconciliationDevelop Effective License Position (ELP) reportsIdentify cost savings opportunities and optimize license usageSupport license reclamation and optimization workflowsSaaS, Cloud & AI License ManagementManage SaaS and subscription-based licensing modelsAnalyze utilization and renewal readinessSupport AI license tracking and cost analysisUnderstand cloud licensing and BYOL considerationsReporting, Analytics & Data QualityDevelop dashboards and reports for software spend and usageResolve data quality issuesProvide ad hoc reporting to stakeholdersGovernance, Risk & Audit ReadinessMaintain audit-ready documentationSupport compliance reviews and auditsInterpret licensing terms and requirementsAutomation & Continuous Improvement* Leverage ServiceNow SAM Pro for automation and workflow improvements* Support continuous improvement initiativesCross-Functional Collaboration* Partner with Procurement, Finance, VMO, Legal, Risk, and Technology teams* Support vendor negotiations and renewal planningQualifications Required8+ years of experience in Information Technology and/or 6+ years with an advanced degree (IE, Masters, PhD, etc)3-5+ years of experience in Software Asset Management and tasks including but not limited to:Strong knowledge of software licensing models and lifecycle managementExperience with ServiceNow SAM Pro or similar toolsExperience creating Effective License Position reportsExperience with SaaS license optimization including utilization tracking and reclamationAbility to interpret contracts and licensing termsStrong analytical and data management skillsAbility to interpret contracts and licensing termsBachelor's degree in Business Administration, MIS, Computer Science or a related field and/or equivalent relevant professional experienceAbility to travel 0-10%, on average, based on the work you do; this role is predominantly remote with the option to work from home or a nearby Deloitte officeMust be legally authorized to work in the United States without the need for employer sponsorship, now or at any time in the futurePreferredExperience with Microsoft licensing and enterprise agreementsStrong communication and stakeholder management skills • Experience managing AI or consumption-based licensing modelsFamiliarity with cloud licensing and hybrid environmentsExperience building dashboards or automation in ServiceNowExperience identifying cost savings and optimization opportunitiesFamiliarity with audit readiness and ITAM data governanceExposure to FinOps conceptsRelevant certifications (CSAM, ITAM, ServiceNow)EA_ExpHire#LH-1Deloitte is committed to providing reasonable accommodations for people with disabilities.
