Master Electrician

Position TitleMaster ElectricianJob DescriptionCarries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's objectives, policies and applicable lawsEssential Duties And ResponsibilitiesPlan and oversee all electric and power installations in collaboration with project managers and other engineering professionals.Ensure all electrical work performed complies with the national, state, and local electrical codes and regulations.Troubleshoot and resolve complex electrical issues promptly.Maintain records of all electrical equipment and ensure regular maintenance.Provide leadership and training to Journeymen.Ensure that all safety protocols are followed to prevent accidents and injuries.Coordinate with suppliers and manage supplies inventory to ensure timely availability of materials.Job Requirements: Education, Experience and Skills:Valid Master Electrician's licenseMinimum 7 years of experience in electrical projects within the construction industry.Strong knowledge of electrical systems, safety standards, and building codes.Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work under pressure.Proven leadership skills and experience in team management.Strong communication and interpersonal skills.Ability to read blueprints and technical diagrams.A commitment to ethical conduct and safety.Perform physically demanding tasks when necessary.Ability to provide preliminary sketches and cost estimates for materials and services.Must be familiar with and adhere to all safety rules and regulations for the University’s Safety Policy which apply to the work environment.Minimum QualificationsMaster Electrician license.Ability to read, write and follow instructions. Basic, proficient math skills are needed to carry out measurements.7+ years of experience.Valid driver's license required.Overtime may be required.Good hygiene and cleanliness is required at all timesMust adhere to the company uniform policy.Maintain a clean vehicle and make office aware of maintenance issuesFollow rules and regulations as described in the company Handbook.Physical RequirementsConsiderable physical activity. Requires heavy physical work; heavy lifting, pushing, or pulling required of objects up to 50 pounds. Physical work is a primary part (more than 70%) of the job.Must be able to lift and carry heavy items up and down stairs.Must be able to spend significant amount of time outside in all weather conditions.Work environment involves exposure to potentially dangerous materials and situations that require the following of extensive safety precautions and may include the use of protective equipment.Work involves almost constant exposure to unusual elements, such as extreme temperatures, toxic chemicals, biohazardous materials, dirt, dust, fumes, smoke, and/or loud noises.Salary/BenefitsThis is a full-time position with full benefits and annual, holiday and sick leave.
