From providing boutique technical solutions in support of the DOD Counter Unmanned Aerial Systems (CUAS) mission set to addressing the most critical Cybersecurity threats facing our nation as a prime contractor with the DHS Cybersecurity & Infrastructure Security Agency (CISA), a career at Edgesource is an opportunity to do meaningful, interesting, and impactful work.Position OverviewThe Scrum Master serves as the Agile delivery leader responsible for facilitating team execution, delivery rhythm, and continuous improvement across workstreams including testing, RPA/ML, DevSecOps, AppSec, and technical governance. This role enables high-performing, self-organizing teams by removing impediments, optimizing Agile ceremonies, and ensuring alignment between government and contractor stakeholders.The Scrum Master drives iteration execution, sprint planning, backlog refinement, and release coordination while maintaining transparency through metrics, reporting, and effective communication. Operating in a high-oversight environment, they ensure delivery teams remain aligned to priorities, dependencies are actively managed, and risks are surfaced early.Day-to-day, this role supports the operational “plumbing” of Agile delivery—coordinating ceremonies, tracking team capacity, supporting onboarding/offboarding logistics (EODs, provisioning, access), and ensuring compliance with program processes. The Scrum Master partners closely with Product Owners, technical leads, and program leadership to deliver value incrementally while continuously improving team performance through metrics, automation, and retrospectives.This role requires a facilitator who can operate across technical teams and senior stakeholders, influence without authority, and drive outcomes in a complex, multi-contractor environment.Key ResponsibilitiesAgile Delivery & Team FacilitationServe as Scrum Master for one or more Agile teams supporting task order executionFacilitate Agile ceremonies (daily standups, sprint planning, backlog refinement, sprint reviews, retrospectives)Ensure consistent sprint execution, team velocity, and delivery predictabilityCoach teams on Agile best practices, DevSecOps integration, and continuous improvementProgram Execution SupportTranslate program-level priorities into sprint-level execution plansCoordinate dependencies across multiple teams and workstreamsTrack and communicate sprint progress, risks, and blockersSupport release planning and alignment with integrated schedulesRisk & Issue ManagementIdentify, track, and actively drive resolution of impedimentsEscalate risks with clear articulation of impacts and mitigation optionsHelp teams navigate dependencies in a multi-contractor environmentMetrics, Reporting & TransparencyMaintain Agile metrics (velocity, burn-down/up, cycle time, etc.)Provide clear, concise status reporting aligned with program expectationsSupport creation of leadership-ready artifacts (status updates, risks, action tracking)Enable data-driven decision-making through dashboards and reporting automationOperational & Team SupportCoordinate team logistics and Agile ceremony schedulingSupport onboarding/offboarding processes:EOD submissionsProvisioning (email, PIV, GFE)Exit/transfer documentationEnsure team compliance with program governance and reporting requirementsStakeholder EngagementPartner with Product Owners, SMEs, and government stakeholders to align prioritiesFacilitate communication between technical teams and leadershipSupport preparation for program reviews and stakeholder briefingsMaintain transparency across government and contractor teamsContinuous Improvement & GovernanceDrive continuous improvement through retrospectives and actionable follow-throughPromote Agile maturity and adoption of modern delivery practicesSupport governance through metrics, process improvements, and automationContribute to lessons learned and best practice sharing across the programRequired QualificationsAbility to obtain a Public Trust Clearance5–8+ years of experience as a Scrum Master or Agile delivery lead in technical environmentsExperience supporting complex programs with multiple teams and stakeholdersStrong understanding of Agile frameworks (Scrum, Kanban) and DevSecOps practicesDemonstrated experience managing risks, dependencies, and cross-team coordinationExperience operating in high-oversight or government environments preferredAbility to support program operations and team logistics (onboarding, access, compliance tasks)Strong written and verbal communication skills with ability to translate technical updates into clear status reportingProven ability to influence without authority and build trust across teamsWorking at EdgesourceAs an ISO 9001:2015 certified and CMMI Level 3 appraised small business, Edgesource specializes in providing a variety of technical solutions to include software development, database services, enterprise networking, data center virtualization, and management support.
