This role is focused on delivering a lean, impactful strategy function that drives business growth, operational efficiency, and innovation, while partnering closely with senior leadership across regions.The Global Head of Risk Change will lead the execution and delivery of mission-critical risk transformation initiatives across the company's Chief Risk Officer function. This role is focused on managing the risk change portfolio of investment projects, ensuring effective delivery of risk-sponsored initiatives, and driving innovation in risk management practices while partnering closely with senior risk leadership across region.The role directly leads a global team of senior program and project managers.Role Description:This highly visible, Executive Director-level role will establish and lead the global Risk Change function within International Change. The successful candidate will collaborate closely with Risk Management, Corporate Functions, and Technology teams to align risk change initiatives with group-wide priorities and drive enhanced risk management capabilities across the organization.You will be responsible for managing the portfolio of risk change investments, overseeing critical risk transformation programs, and developing compelling business cases to secure executive sponsorship. Leading a high-performing global team, you will foster a culture of innovation, collaboration, risk excellence, and disciplined execution.Key objectives critical to success:Lead the execution of mission-critical Risk transformation programsManage and optimize the global risk change portfolio of investments and initiatives, supporting the relevant International Investment Governance forums and standardsChairs the risk change investment committee and ensures robust governance of all risk transformation investmentDrive organizational design decisions with a commercial mindset, aligning roles to business priorities while developing local capabilities and ensuring seamless integration across regional teams.Provide strategic oversight for business-embedded Client to drive aligned outcomes while respecting organizational boundariesPartner with other cross-functional initiatives and teams which require support from RiskDevelop and maintain strong partnerships with Risk Management leadership globallyDrive material improvements in risk management capabilities and efficiencyLead and develop the global Risk Change team, fostering a strong performance, inclusive and diverse cultureDrive efficiency and productivity improvements across Risk Change and the wider Risk organizationProvide strategic direction and oversight for all risk-sponsored change programsDrive the adoption of emerging technologies, including AI, machine learning, and advanced analytics, to enhance risk management capabilitiesEnsure alignment of risk initiatives with regulatory requirements and firm-wide risk appetiteChampion data-driven approaches to risk transformation and performance measurementDefine and track KPIs / OKRs such as project delivery timelines, cost savings, risk reduction outcomes, and stakeholder satisfaction to measure the impact of risk change initiativesAdhere to pragmatic required delivery control standardsThis role requires periodic international travel to key regional offices and stakeholder locationsSkills, experience, qualifications and knowledge required:Risk Management: Extensive experience in Financial Risk Management such as Market Risk, Credit Risk, Stress Testing and Model Governance within financial servicesChange Leadership: Proven track record of leading large-scale risk transformation programsPortfolio Management: Accountable for the global risk change budget, resource allocation, and investment prioritization to ensure optimal delivery of transformation initiativeStakeholder Management: Exceptional ability to influence and collaborate at senior levels and across geographies, with extensive collaboration with Risk, Technology, and Business leadershipInnovation & Technology: Understanding of risk systems, data architecture and driving deeper use of AI, digital transformation and advanced analyticsRegulatory Knowledge: Deep understanding of global Risk and Finance regulatory requirements such as Basel III and FRTBFinancial Expertise: Strong background in risk-related financial modeling and analysisIndustry Experience: Extensive experience in financial services, with significant risk management experienceProven ability to manage multiple complex initiatives simultaneouslyPreferred QualificationsMBA or equivalent postgraduate qualification in business, finance, or risk managementProfessional risk management certificationProject management certification (PMP, Agile Scrum Master, PRINCE 2)Identify the underlying causes of problems faced by you or your team and define a clear vision and direction for the future.Making Strategic DecisionsEvaluate all the options for resolving the problems and effectively prioritize actions or recommendations.Inspire team members through effective communication of ideas and motivate them to actively enhance productivity.
