GIS Analyst and Instructor

THE MISSION: A US security consulting LLC is building drone-enabled geospatial intelligence capacity across four West African governments. Trained analysts staff Regional C2 Fusion Cells, producing prosecution-ready intelligence products from fixed wing VTOL drone imagery for national security commanders. This is not a theoretical exercise. Graduates move directly into active operations — monitoring illegal mining corridors, frontier surveillance, and urban security for heads-of-government events. You join a small, integrated American team of drone pilot instructors and intelligence instructors. You are the geospatial specialist. WHAT YOU TEACH• GIS fundamentals from zero — QGIS, coordinate systems, vector and raster data• Academic GIS instructor with security or field deployment experience Dedicated vehicle and driver Meals Per diem provided• Drone data ingest and processing — WebODM, orthomosaic production, chain of custody• Change detection and AI-assisted output validation• Intelligence product creation — hotspot maps, target packages, command-level briefings• 4–6 week mentoring phase with analysts on live drone data, forward deployedREQUIRED: Hands-on QGIS or analogue proficiency. Experience with drone or UAV imagery. Prior instructional experience — formal or informal. Ability to teach from zero. Comfortable in field environments. STRONGLY PREFERRED: Defense, intelligence, law enforcement, or international development GIS background. Prior Africa deployment. GEOINT or IMINT experience. GISP certification. French language.
