Physical Therapy Assistant
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA) to support students in a school-based setting. The PTA will work under the supervision of a licensed Physical Therapist to help students improve mobility, strength, and functional independence, enabling them to fully participate in their educational environment. Key Responsibilities:Implement physical therapy treatment plans as developed by the supervising Physical TherapistProvide direct therapy services to students with a variety of physical and developmental needsAssist with assessments by gathering data and documenting student progressMaintain accurate and timely documentation in compliance with school and state guidelinesCollaborate with teachers, special education staff, and other related service providersSupport students with mobility, positioning, and use of adaptive equipmentParticipate in Individualized Education Program (IEP) meetings as appropriateEnsure a safe and supportive environment for all students Qualifications:Associate degree from an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant programCurrent state licensure or certification as a PTAPrevious experience in a pediatric or school-based setting preferredStrong communication and interpersonal skillsAbility to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary teamKnowledge of IEP processes and school-based therapy services is a plus Benefits (if applicable):Competitive compensationHealth, dental, and vision insuranceRetirement plan optionsProfessional development opportunitiesSupportive and collaborative work environment Why Join Us: Join a team committed to helping students reach their full potential.
