Algorithm Engineer (C++, Image Processing, HPC)
Overview
As an Algorithm Engineer in the Reticle Product Division, you design advanced image-processing solutions for inspection platforms that enhance defect detection and classification. You will translate requirements into mathematical models and production-ready code, working closely with field teams and customers to deploy algorithms at scale. You’ll contribute to robust software, explore GPU-accelerated approaches, and collaborate across hardware teams to optimize image quality. This role offers impact in enabling high-yield lithography through innovative inspection technology.

ResponsibilitiesDesign and implement advanced algorithms for image segmentation, classification, and defect detection tailored to inspection systemsTranslate complex requirements into generalized mathematical models and develop customized algorithmic solutionsDrive innovation with novel approaches and production-quality, maintainable codeCollaborate with field teams and customers to support algorithm deployments and integrate solutions at customer sites (including occasional international travel)Develop robust, scalable software using modern C++ and object-oriented principlesContribute to long-term codebase health through design, refactoring, and documentationCollaborate with hardware teams to optimize image quality and manage error budgets based on algorithm performanceExplore CUDA C++ and GPU-accelerated computing to accelerate processing
