Position Title: Registered Nurse Location: Elmira NY 14901 Duration: Upto 2 years Work Schedule: M-F, 7:30 AM-4:00 PM Job Description: A Registered Nurse is required for medication administration and management. The selected candidate will need to provide a copy of their current license, registration, and background check. Proof of TB testing and a recent flu shot will also be required. Job duties include, but are not limited to: Receive a verbal report from the nurse assigned to the satellite unit upon arrival. Process physician orders (e.g., input orders into the system, print updated MARs, and verify new MARs with a second RN). Administer medications to patients in various units, including RCTP OB, RCTP Dorm, long-term care, infirmary, Therapeutic Behavioral Unit (TBU), and general population. Document medications administered and any refusals. Perform controlled substance and tool counts with a second nurse. Maintain stock medication accountability by counting and documenting on the appropriate forms. Assess patients brought to the satellite unit and admit to RCTP if needed, including completing admission documentation. Document nursing progress notes for RCTP patients. Schedule: Hours may vary based on unit needs and may include every other weekend. Holiday coverage may be required.
