This role is ideal for individuals with foundational field experience who are ready to expand their technical skills and take on additional responsibilities through continued mentorship and hands-on project work. Technicians will support the installation, maintenance, and organization of structured cabling systems, infrastructure hardware, and data center equipment for projects within the telecom and low voltage industry.Job ResponsibilitiesInstall structured cabling systems, including fiber and copper cable rough-in, routing, and cable dressingTerminate and test fiber and copper cabling with moderate supervisionRack and stack network equipment, including server builds and rack elevation supportInstall infrastructure components such as ladder racks, fiber trays, cabinets, and related hardwareRead and follow blueprints, installation standards, and project documentationAssist with outside plant fiber installations into data center environmentsReceive materials and assemble hardware components as neededMaintain compliance with safety procedures and ensure clean, organized job sitesCommunicate professionally with team members, project leads, and supervisorsJob RequirementsHigh school diploma or GED required12+ years of experience in a data center or commercial structured cabling environmentFamiliarity with fiber and copper cable types, termination methods, and basic testing equipmentOSHA 10 certification preferredMust be open to travel for project assignments as neededMust be available to work extended schedules, including 12-hour shifts and up to 7 days per week based on project demandsAbility to work on ladders, lifts, and in confined spacesAbility to lift up to 50 lbs. and move items up to 75 lbs.Ability to stand and walk for extended periods throughout the work shiftMust provide and maintain basic hand tools, including a multi-bit screwdriver, snips, punch tool, pliers, tape measure, flashlight, tool pouch, and steel or composite toe work bootsBenefitsHealth insuranceDental insuranceVision insurance401(k)
