Ophthalmic Assistant TechnicianRichmond, VAPay From: $21 Per HourMUST:4+ years of experience as an Ophthalmic TechCOA or COT preferredExperience performing various Ophthalmic exams including slit lamp, visual fields, color vision tests, lensometry, tonometry, Keratometry, refractometryRooming patients and obtaining historiesScribing for providersAssisting with in office and surgical proceduresHandling dilationsExperience obtaining pre-auths and scheduling appointmentsDUTIES:The duties of the Ophthalmic Tech include but are not limited to the following:Room patientsObtain medical historyCheck patient visual acuityHandle dilationsPerform various exams including slit lamp, visual fields, color vision tests, lensometry, tonometry, keratometry and refractometryProvide photography supportAssist with in office and surgical proceduresAdminister topical ophthalmic or oral medicationsSet up and clean up from procedures.Perform advanced ophthalmic proceduresHandle scribingClean and stock roomsPrepare instruments for sterilizationObtain authorizationsHandle chart prepSchedule appointments
