Litigation Paralegal
LHH Recruitment in partnership with a firm in Wilmington, DE is seeking a Litigation Paralegal. The role is fully onsite and it is a full-time permanent position.We are seeking a Litigation Paralegal to join our Firm. Within this position, you will be responsible for assisting the Litigation practice area attorneys and case teams in all phases and aspects of Litigation work. This position will be based in our Wilmington office.Essential Duties:Assist with preparation of and filing/serving of court documents electronically via File & ServeXpress and PACER CM/ECFAssist with preparation for depositions, hearings, trials and/or client meetingsReview motions, briefs and other court papers prior to filing including document formatting and compliance with court requirements.Prepare and handle technical, complex filings, including confidential filing procedures and numerous exhibitsDraft routine filings (such as standard pro hac motions, motions for extension of time, motions to amend complaints)Create and organize materials for hearings, such as casebooks and briefing bindersStay current on court rules and filing requirementsEnsure that all litigation case files are maintained within approved protocols and case management systems, and seek to improve workflows regarding storage and recall of electronic and paper filesPerform other related duties as assignedSkills/Qualifications:College degree or paralegal certificate from an approved ABA program preferred, with a minimum of two years of paralegal experienceWorking knowledge of Delaware Court of Chancery, Supreme and Superior courts rules and proceduresWorking knowledge of Federal Court rules and proceduresDemonstrated ability with complex court filings, in both paper and electronic (e-filing) formatsProficient with technology, including Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPointExcellent analytical, troubleshooting, organizational and planning skillsDemonstrates effective interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbalFlexible, proactive, team player. Ability to communicate professionally and interact effectively with all levels of personnel, including management, staff, and all external partiesExcellent client service skills and ability to manage multiple matters simultaneously and successfully in an organized manner with minimal supervisionFlexibility and ability to respond quickly and positively to shifting prioritiesEqual Opportunity Employer/Veterans/Disabled
