This is a unique opportunity to advance your career with a growing water resources practice focusing on FEMA Flood Studies, Watershed Modeling, Flood Mitigation, Stormwater Studies and Application Development.Key ResponsibilitiesPerform hydrologic and hydraulic modeling tasks for a variety of water resources projects including dams, levee systems, watershed and floodplain studies and stormwater systemsAssist in FEMA Risk Map studiesAssist in USACE H&H analysesEffectively convey project work, schedules and results in technical documentsConduct field investigations on various projects including but not limited to: dam inspections, hydrology and hydraulic evaluations, and levee inspectionsCapabilities And CredentialsIdeal candidate would be seeking to fulfill practicum or internship requirement for a university, college, or technical institute program in Civil, Biosystems, or Environmental EngineeringPrior experience performing engineering calculationsPrior experience writing technical documentsPossesses excellent time management skillsAbility to effectively discuss project issues with project teamExcellent written and verbal communication skillsPresentation and interview skillsPreferred Additional CapabilitiesEngineering Software experience:- USACE HEC-RAS (1D and 2D), USACE HEC-HMS, and USACE HEC-DSSVueEPA-SWMM and/or PC-SWMMESRI ArcGISAdvanced GIS experience such as Model Builder, Python, and advanced analysis toolsThe position will primarily work in a hybrid office in Nashville, TNThis description is not a comprehensive listing of activities, duties or responsibilities that may be required of the employee and other duties, responsibilities and activities may be assigned or may be changed at any time with or without notice.Stantec is a place where the best and brightest come to build on each other’s talents, do exciting work, and make an impact on the world around us. Please note, the final agreed upon compensation is based on individual education, qualifications, experience, and work location. At Stantec certain roles are bonus eligible.
