Senior Java Software Engineer
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities:· Experience designing and developing secure applications and products· Experience with developing, configuring and deploying applications on Microsoft Azure or any other cloud platform· Preferred skills include: Java, Spring Boot, Rest API development, microservices architecture, SQL, Git/Github/Github Actions, Maven, SonarQube, Oracle, JUnit, TestNG, Datadog, OAuth 2.0, Docker, Kubernetes· Experience using Al-assisted software development tools such as GitHub Copilot, Claude, ChatGPT, or similar developer productivity tools preferred· Ability to use GenAl tools for code generation, code refactoring, debugging, test-case generation, documentation, and technical analysis is highly preferred· Experience applying Al to improve developer productivity, software quality, test automation, and application modernization preferred· Ability to identify key issues and details, and present understandable alternatives to both technical and non-technical individuals· Ability to create and maintain technical documentation to support the testing, installation, operations, deployment and maintenance of products· Proven ability to effectively present data to facilitate understanding of findings· Ability to solve complex problems using analytical and creative problem-solving skills for design, development and testing of systems· Strong knowledge of prevailing technology trends, design patterns and ability to apply those as needed· Ability to interpret and analyze technology heatmaps and subsequently develop plans to remediate hardware/software nearing End of Life/End of Support· Competent at adhering to organizational processes and procedures including but not limited to scrum and various design artifacts· Knowledge of agile development methodologies· Ability to identify key issues and details, and present understandable alternatives to both technical and non-technical individuals.· Ability to create and maintain technical documentation to support the testing, installation, operations, deployment and maintenance of products.· Proven ability to effectively present data to facilitate understanding of findings.· Ability to solve complex problems using analytical and creative problem-solving skills for design, development and testing of systems.· Strong knowledge of prevailing technology trends, design patterns and ability to apply those as needed.· Ability to interpret and analyze technology heatmaps and subsequently develop plans to remediate hardware/software nearing End of Life/End of Support.· Competent at adhering to organizational processes and procedures including but not limited to scrum and various design artifacts.
