District Sales Manager

Job Summary:Compensation: $115,000 - $135,000 + bonusThe District Sales Manager is responsible for overseeing profitable growth across all district locations. This includes developing and mentoring all sales and operations personnel, ensuring adherence to safety procedures, maintaining inventory accuracy, and retaining all branch employees.Responsibilities/Duties:Sales Management:Managing Sales - Primary responsibility is the management of profitable growth of IDI sales across all district branches, responsible for topline & bottom-line growth of all locationsRetention of current customers; develop new customers while continuing to grow profitably and delivering great customer service. Each DSM must have a direct relationship with the top 20 customers in each marketAnnual sales forecasting, budgeting, and AR reviews as required, as well as monthly P&L reviews with Branch Managers, Regional Director, and Executive Team as requestedSafety and Compliance:Oversight of all safety protocols and ensure all safety procedures are in full compliance with corporate directivesEnsure adherence to training programs for safety, customer service, and product knowledgePersonnel Development and Management:Oversee the development and mentoring of all branch sales and management personnel with a focus on long-term retention and fostering a customer service cultureIdentify needed positions and initiate hiring for all sales and operations positions, including interviews, hiring, onboarding process, and trainingDistrict Oversight:Responsible for district oversight including safety, inventories, turnover, and retention of all district employeesRegular presence at all district locations and maintain an active role in the overall health and strength of all branch officesMiscellaneous:Other duties as beneficial to IDILeadership Competencies:Leads SelfCommunicates Effectively & CandidlyDrives for ResultsDemonstrates AccountabilityTakes InitiativeCollaboratesLeads OthersSelects Top TalentDevelops OthersThinks StrategicallyBuilds a Strong CultureQualifications/Skills:Sales and Relationship Management:Proven results in the sale of building materialsAbility to maintain existing and develop new relationships with vendors, customers, and employeesPlanning and Organizational Skills:Strong planning, time management, and organizational skillsStrategic planning, sales management, negotiating, and vendor management experienceAbility to achieve set goals in a timely mannerDetail-oriented, ability to multi-task, work independently, and as part of a teamCommunication Skills:Strong oral and written communication skillsTechnical Proficiency:Proficient in PC usage, including Microsoft Office products such as Outlook, Word, and ExcelTravel Requirements:Ability to travel an average of 60% of the timeEducation/Experience:Bachelor's degree preferredMinimum 5 years in sales and employee development; insulation or building material sales experience preferredEqual Opportunity EmployerThis employer is required to notify all applicants of their rights pursuant to federal employment laws.
