Full-timeDepartment: ProductionJob DescriptionWe are seeking a detail-oriented and efficient Mechanical Assembler to join our team in City of Industry, United States. In this role, you will be responsible for assembling mechanical components with precision and care, ensuring that every product meets our high-quality standards. You'll work in a collaborative, fast-paced manufacturing environment where your attention to detail and commitment to excellence directly impact our customers' satisfaction. This position offers the opportunity to develop your technical skills while contributing to a supportive team dedicated to delivering exceptional results.Read and interpret assembly orders and technical instructions accurately, following all specifications from top to bottomExecute external and internal assembly processes for mechanical components, including knobs, levers, springs, shims, and platesApply appropriate materials such as plastic washers and grease according to product requirementsTest assembled components to verify proper mechanism function and ensure correct tightness and alignmentMaintain organized and clean workstations throughout your shift, keeping only necessary materials readily accessibleRefill individual and shared bins as needed to support continuous workflowTrack productivity and quality metrics on hourly documentation sheets, recording completion times and any discrepanciesDemonstrate flexibility by working across various departments and roles as needed to support operational demandsCollaborate with team leads and fellow assemblers to resolve challenges and maintain consistent outputMeet established productivity and quality goals while maintaining a strong work ethicQualifications**Required Skills and Abilities:**Proficiency in reading and interpreting assembly instructions and technical drawingsStrong manual dexterity and precision in handling mechanical componentsSolid understanding of mechanical assembly techniques and processesAbility to perform quality control checks and identify defectsExcellent time management and organizational skillsCapability to lift and move up to 50 lbs. regularly and occasionally up to 50 lbs.Ability to stand and walk for extended periods during shiftsStrong attention to detail with a commitment to accuracyCapacity to work independently while remaining collaborative with team membersWillingness to work in a fast-paced, intense manufacturing environmentFlexibility to work varied hours as required by operational needsPreferred ExperiencePrevious experience in assembly line or manufacturing environmentsFamiliarity with FIFO (First In, First Out) inventory management principlesExperience working with mechanical components and assembly processesDemonstrated ability to meet productivity targets consistentlyBackground in quality assurance or inspection rolesEducation And CertificationsHigh school diploma or equivalentRelevant manufacturing or assembly certifications (preferred)Domain ExpertiseKnowledge of mechanical components and their functionsUnderstanding of assembly processes and quality standardsFamiliarity with manufacturing safety protocols and workplace complianceAdditional InformationCompany DescriptionFortune Brands Innovations, Inc. is an industry-leading home, security and digital products company.
