Part-Time Administrative Assistant (Legal Office Environment)Houston, TX 77056OVERVIEW:A boutique, highly successful law firm is seeking a highly organized, detail-oriented Part-Time Administrative Assistant to support a small team of attorneys and staff. This is a new role due to growth. This role offers up to 30 hours per week, with the possibility of transitioning to full-time (40 hours/week) starting in August based on business needsThis is an excellent opportunity for a college student, recent graduate, or someone exploring a career in the legal field who wants hands-on exposure in a fast-paced, professional officeWHAT YOU'LL DO:Manage and monitor a shared administrative email inboxAnswer and route incoming phone calls; assist with initial client intakeCoordinate calendars, schedule meetings, and manage appointmentsPrepare, format, and edit documents, reports, and presentationsMaintain and organize digital and physical filesTrack deadlines and send reminders to attorneys and clientsAssist with scheduling and tracking important legal deadlines (training provided)Prepare and send routine client communicationsHandle incoming/outgoing mail, scanning, and document uploadsMaintain office supplies, inventory, and overall office organizationRun occasional local errands (post office, supply runs, etc.)Support event planning and coordination as neededProvide general administrative support and assist with special projectsProactively check in with team members for additional support opportunitiesWHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR:At least 1+ years of experience in an administrative capacityStrong organizational skills and attention to detailCLIO or Alt Legal is beneficial, not required, training providedSelf-Starter, ability to keep pace and multi-taskHighly OrganizedProfessional communication skills (written and verbal)Ability to multitask and prioritize in a fast-paced environmentDependable, proactive, and willing to take initiativeComfortable with basic office technology (Microsoft Office, Google Workspace, etc.)Interest in the legal field is a plus, but not requiredNote: Experience with legal software platforms is not required; training will be provided.WHY THIS ROLE?Gain real-world experience in a legal office settingBuild foundational skills for a future legal or administrative careerFlexible part-time schedule with potential for full-time transitionCollaborative and supportive team environmentSCHEDULE & COMPENSATION:Up to 30 hours/week (flexible scheduling)Must work in the office$20-$25 per hour Depending on ExperienceWe are an equal opportunity employer, and we are an organization that values diversity.
