Litigation Attorney (Partner-Level) – Insurance Defense
A growing national insurance defense practice is seeking a Partner-Level Insurance Defense Attorney to join and help lead their Atlanta office. This role is designed for a seasoned litigator who can independently manage a docket of high-exposure cases—particularly trucking and catastrophic injury matters—while mentoring associates and strengthening client relationships. This is not a book-of-business-driven role. Instead, it’s an opportunity for a proven litigation leader to step into a robust and growing caseload, operate with autonomy, and play a key role in the continued expansion of the Atlanta practice.This role can be fully remote within Georgia or tied to the Atlanta office.The practice focuses on:Trucking and transportation litigationPremises liability defenseGeneral liability defenseCatastrophic injury defenseWe are moving efficiently and can take candidates from initial conversation to decision within approximately two weeks.ResponsibilitiesIndependently manage a full docket of complex insurance defense matters, with a strong emphasis on trucking and catastrophic injury.Take immediate ownership of approximately 20 high-exposure cases and drive them through resolution or trial.Develop and execute litigation strategy with minimal oversight.Serve as a key point of contact for clients and insurance carriers, delivering strategic and proactive communication.Lead, mentor, and leverage associates and support staff to efficiently move cases forward.Conduct and defend depositions, argue motions, attend mediations, and serve as first chair at trial when needed.Contribute to the strategic growth and leadership of the Atlanta office.QualificationsJ.D. from an accredited law schoolLicensed and in good standing in Georgia10+ years of insurance defense litigation experience, with substantial trucking exposure.Proven ability to independently manage complex, high-value litigation from intake through trial.Meaningful first-chair trial experience, particularly in serious personal injury matters.Demonstrated experience managing, mentoring, and delegating work to associates.Strong relationships and credibility with insurance carriers and claims professionals.Exceptional strategic thinking, communication, and leadership skills.Portable business is welcome but not required.BenefitsImmediate access to a robust, high-quality caseload—no business required.Leadership role with meaningful influence over office growth and direction.Premier national insurance defense platform with strong carrier relationships.Highly collaborative, trial-focused culture with elite litigation talent.Competitive compensation ($200-250k+) with performance-based bonuses and partnership structure.Confidential inquiries welcome.
