We have local positions too!Family Culture: Join a team that truly cares about your success and growth.Competitive Benefits: Weekly pay, 401(k) matching, full insurance coverage, and more!What You'll Do as Our Structural FitterStructural Fitters are the backbone of our operation - you'll prepare structural metal products for welding and bring engineering blueprints to life!Your Mission (Should You Choose to Accept It!)Craft Excellence: Fabricate, assemble, and install structural steel products including beams, braces, pipes, and platesPrecision Work: Verify conformance using squares, rulers, and measuring tapes - your attention to detail matters!Problem Solving: Align and fit parts using jacks, turnbuckles, wedges, drift pins, pry bars, and hammersHeavy Lifting: Move parts into position manually or with hoists and cranesBlueprint Mastery: Study engineering drawings to determine materials and task sequencesQuality Focus: Lay out and examine metal stock to ensure specifications are metWelding Prep: Tack-weld fitted parts together for seamless final assemblyCrane Operation: Lift and move materials using large cranes safely and efficientlyFinishing Touches: Remove high spots and cut bevels using hand files, grinders, and cutting torchesTemplate Creation: Design and construct templates and fixtures using hand toolsMetal Shaping: Hammer, chip, and grind workpieces to achieve perfect specificationsHeat Treatment: Preheat workpieces and perform heat-treating using acetylene torchesInstallation Excellence: Install boilers, containers, and other complex structuresTeam Leadership: Direct welders to build up low spots or short pieces with precision weldsQuality Assurance: Constantly check your work to ensure it meets or exceeds our high standardsSafety First: Maintain work area and equipment with exceptional housekeeping standardsWhat We're Looking ForEducation & TrainingHigh school diploma or GED preferredVocational training or previous employer training in application tools and techniques preferredMust pass our comprehensive written and/or practical skills testWillingness to complete our world-class training programs after joining the teamExperience That CountsMinimum 3 years of fitter work-related experience and/or training required - We want someone who knows their craft!Special Skills That Set You ApartBlueprint Reading: Must read blueprints, section and plan drawings, and weld symbols like a proMathematical Precision: Derive measurements, dimensions, and material quantities from technical drawingsMultitasking Master: Handle multiple processing operations simultaneouslyIndependent Worker: Self-motivated and able to work autonomouslyMath Skills: Basic mathematics knowledge essentialPhysical Stamina: Experience in physically demanding environmentsSafety Conscious: Familiarity with OSHA regulations and commitment to safety practicesPhysical Requirements (We Keep It Real)Vision: Read printed materials, identify tool markings, and recognize team membersHearing: Engage in conversations and respond to safety alertsSpeaking: Communicate effectively with individuals and groupsEquipment Mastery: Operate arc welding equipment, oxy-fuel cutting tools, grinders, cranes, and moreLifting/Carrying: Handle up to 50lbs regularlyConfined Spaces: Comfortable working in tight spaces for extended periodsHeights: Work confidently at heights up to 15 feet on various platformsPhysical Endurance: Stand, walk, sit, squat, and kneel as needed throughout the dayAmazing Benefits PackageWeekly Pay - No waiting around for your hard-earned money!Per Diem for Travel Positions - We cover your expenses while you explore!401(k) Matching - We invest in your futureCompany Paid Basic Life and AD&D - Peace of mind includedCompany Paid Short-Term Disability - We've got your backMedical, Dental, and Vision Insurance - Complete healthcare coveragePaid Time Off - Rest and rechargePaid Holidays - Celebrate with familyReady to Join Our Team?For Travel Fitters: Pack your skills and see America while building incredible structures!
