Position: UI/UX Designer Location: Howard Hughes Center, Las Vegas, NV Clearance: Secret security clearance with Top Secret eligibility Travel: 5% TTC is currently accepting applications for a UI/UX Designer. Selected Candidates will work within dynamic leading-edge-technology environments enabling the 805th Combat Training Squadron/Shadow Operations Center – Nellis (ShOC-N) to conduct integration, experimentation, and assessments of emerging technologies and mission procedures to meet warfighter requirements in Joint All Domain Command and Control (JADC2) and the Advanced Battle Management System (ABMS), providing the USAF resilient and integrated joint C2 solutions sets. This is an on-site position located at Howard Hughes Center, and occasionally support on Nellis Air Force Base in Las Vegas, NV. This excellent opportunity requires that the ideal candidate to be customer focused, and willing to join a winning team. Responsibilities: Function as the lead UI/UX designer for data instrumentation and data driven analysis capability for the 805 CTS. Responsible for collecting, researching, investigating and evaluating user requirements. Communicate with users to understand their goals and objectives. Plan and implement new designs. Optimize existing user interface designs. Test for intuitively and experience. Gather and evaluate user requirements, in collaboration with product managers and engineers. Design graphic user interface elements, like menus, tabs and widgets. Develop technical and organizational requirements and always strives to deliver intuitive and user-centered solutions. Illustrate design ideas using storyboards, process flows and sitemaps. Develop UI mockups and prototypes that clearly illustrate how sites function and look. Identify and troubleshoot UX problems (e.g., responsiveness). Conduct layout adjustments based on user feedback. Develop and adhere to style standards for fonts, colors, and images. Perspective candidates must be willing to facilitate our technical interview process for new hires to ensure a strong fit for both the position and team culture. Preferred Skills & Experience: Should have a UI design portfolio. Should be detail oriented. Required and Must Haves: Must be a US citizen. Must maintain a Secret security clearance with Top Secret eligibility. Bachelor’s degree in relevant field required. Must have 4+ years of experience as an UI-UX designer or similar role. Must have knowledge of Usability Factors in Human Computer Interaction. Must have excellent interpersonal and communication skills. Must be a critical thinker, problem solver, and customer centered.
