Our poles are engineered for superior performance in the most demanding environments, providing utilities with a durable, low-maintenance, and sustainable solution for a more resilient grid.With operations in North America and customers across 30+ countries, RS is a leader in grid resilience, driven by our values of Safety, Respect, Resilience, and Teamwork.THE OPPORTUNITYWe are seeking an experienced and results-driven Operator to lead materials The primary purpose of the Mandrel Prep Operator is to assist the Production Department as needed to ensure successful completion of the production process.What You Will DoThis position is responsible for ensuring that RSUS schedules and ships its products accurately and on time. This includes:Perform cleaning and sealing and Bondo applications to all size mandrelsOversee preheat oven temperatures to ensure accuracy, and proper mandrel preparationResponsible for tape application and security of spike rings as requiredKnowledge of walking beams operations, movement, and HMI panel operationsResponsible for mandrel lubricant applicationAdhere to all related paperwork for efficient process flowAdhere to all safety procedures and PPE requirementsReport on all equipment related issues to the Production SupervisorEnsure proper inventory of materials to perform the jobAssist the Engineering Department in the research, trial/development, selection of new processes and equipment to improve the production processAssist in training and cross training production team membersParticipating in continuous improvement activitiesMaintain a clean and safe work environmentComply with all Company Safety rules, Provincial and Federal Rules and RegulationsOther duties as assignedWhat You BringHigh school diploma or equivalent requiredMinimum of one year of experience in a manufacturing environment; prior machine operation experience preferredWORKING CONDITIONSIndustrial production environment Hot & humid areas within the plantPhysically demanding tasksInteraction with heavy machinery, moving equipment and limited movement of chemicals within the production areaWhat We OfferCompetitive salary and performance-based incentives.Comprehensive health, dental, and vision benefits.Retirement savings plans with company contributions.Employer-paid life and short-term disability insurance.Optional additional coverage (life, long-term disability).Generous paid time off and an Employee Assistance Program (EAP).Opportunities for growth and development within a global, forward-thinking company.Why Join Us?At RS, you'll play a key role in strengthening the quality foundation that supports our continued growth.
