Die Maintenance Finisher (Evening & Overnight Shifts)
Are you a welder and comfortable working with hand tools, especially air tools? If so, Ryobi is looking for candidatesto join our 2nd (evening) and 3rd shift (overnight)teams. Depending on your experience, starting wages are as high as $32.50 hour.
We are looking for someone to complete highly skilled grinding activities along withwelding to repair and maintain dies. This person will also assess damage to dies and determine repairs needed.
Our Die Maintenance Finishers are tasked with maintaining the die molds for our die-cast machines. These machines range from 800-ton to 3,500-ton. The DM Tech will Review dies during disassembly and repair any damage that may have occurred during the production process and therefore work closely with our operations team to keep machines running and plan to die maintenance.
These positions are on an off-shift and although they may train on 1st, the position will move to either 2nd or 3rd shift. Premiums paid for off-shift schedules worked.

What will you do?
Perform highly skilled grinding activities and welding and to repair and maintain dies.
Assess damage to dies and determines repairs needed.
Set up and operates required equipment, and select appropriate equipment to ensure no further damage to the die.
Meet deadlines to perform quick repairs as well as welding on-die breaks as needed.
Grind completed welding jobs to finish the repaired die to the correct dimensions.
Perform welding during die assembly to ensure the die is assembled properly the first time through the machine
What will you need?
Good mechanical skills, with the ability to disassemble and reassemble mechanical equipment
High level of skill in TIG, MIG, and Arc welding
Experience using mills, lathes, torches, and grinders
Knowledge of basic blueprint reading and basic machining practices
Familiarity with calipers and micrometers for dimensional inspections
Experience with the use of oxygen-acetylene torches
