POSITION TITLE: Truck Driver Heavy Construction Equipment (lowboy)DEPARTMENT: Equipment & YardLOCATION: Niagara Falls, New YorkSALARY RANGE: $20 to $35 per hourJOB NUMBER: 2026-6140-01DESCRIPTION/RESPONSIBILITIES:Nationally recognized environmental remediation contractor located in Niagara Falls, New York, is looking for a full time lowboy Truck Driver to drive heavy loads throughout the East Coast to the Mid-West. Travel is mainly Monday through Friday, will be home most weekends.The daily work will include:Will be responsible for lowboy truck operations transporting heavy construction equipment to numerous job sites located throughout the United StatesUnderstanding the safe operation of each type of equipment drivenPerform all required DOT vehicle inspections to include pre and post trip safety inspections and report any issuesComplete and maintain all required paperworkEnsure all cargo is properly securedTrack and document equipment movesMaintain eligibility to drive under DOT regulationsUnderstand all applicable permits that are required and work within the permit parametersPractice safe driving and accident preventionImmediately report all incidents/accidents and participate and cooperate with all accident investigationsAttend all safety and training meetingsKeep equipment clean and in good working conditionSKILLS/EXPERIENCE:Minimum 2-5 years' work experience driving and loading a 40+ ton rig; examples of equipment to be moved are: excavators, bulldozers, and wheel loaders, many of the over width and overweight varietyExperience in heavy hauling with a lowboyMust possess a clean and valid Class A CDL license with any applicable endorsementsMust meet all DOT requirements to include pre-employment drug and alcohol examinationMust be able to demonstrate experience with lowboy operation--heavy equipment loading and unloadingMust be able to communicate effectively both orally and in writingSALARY/BENEFITS:An employee's salary is based on commensurate experience and other qualifications.
