Line Cook @ Bird Tree Cafe

We are now seeking a few amazing line cooks to join our team! You will prepare food to the exact specifications and to set up stations for service. Line cook duties will consist of assisting the executive chef and shift manager with their daily tasks. The successful candidate will play a key role in contributing to our customer satisfaction. Must have open availability Responsibilities Set up and stocking stations with all necessary products and supplies Prepare food for service (e.g. chopping vegetables, butchering meat, or preparing sauces) Cook menu items in cooperation with the rest of the kitchen staff Answer, report and follow executive chef, general manager and kitchen manager's instructions Clean up station and take care of leftover food Stock inventory appropriately Ensure that food comes out simultaneously, in high quality and in a timely fashion Comply with nutrition and sanitation regulations and safety standards Maintain a positive and professional approach with coworkers and customers Skills Proven cooking experience, including experience as a line chef, restaurant cook or prep cook Excellent understanding of various cooking methods, ingredients, equipment and procedures Accuracy and speed in executing assigned tasks Familiar with industry’s best practices Job Types: Full-time, Part-time Pay: $15.00 - $17.00 per hour Benefits: Employee discount Flexible schedule Shift: 10 hour shift 8 hour shift Day shift Evening shift Experience: Restaurant experience: 2 years (Required) Shift availability: Day Shift (Required) Night Shift (Preferred) Work Location: In person
