Embedded Software Engineer OpportunityWe are hiring an Embedded Software Engineer in Dedham, MA to develop advanced real-time embedded software solutions for mission-critical defense and security systems. This role requires expertise in Linux and Android development, C++, Java, AOSP, ARM architectures, virtualization, device driver development, UML modeling, and multi-threaded embedded systems supporting secure aerospace and defense programs.Responsibilities:Develop real-time, multi-threaded embedded software on Linux and Android platformsTranslate CONOPS, requirements, and specifications into software design, implementation, and test plansContribute to AOSP-based system development and Android system-level applicationsDesign and implement software using object-oriented principles (C++, Java, UML)Support long lifecycle products, including maintenance, upgrades, and technology refreshesDevelop and debug low-level software components, including device drivers and system interfacesWork with ARM architectures, including virtualization and hypervisor technologiesCollaborate across hardware, systems, and test teams to deliver integrated solutionsUtilize development tools for IDE, version control, defect tracking, and scriptingQualifications:U.S. Citizenship is required by Federal LawBachelor's degree in Software Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related STEM fieldActive DoD Secret Clearance (required at time of hire)5+ years (or Master's + 3 years) of embedded software developmentEmbedded software development (real-time, multi-threaded systems)Linux and/or Android OS developmentObject-oriented programming (C++, Java)Software design using UML or model-based toolsExperience with AOSP or Android system-level developmentARM architecture and virtualization/hypervisorsDevice driver developmentBuild systems (Ninja, Soong)Model-based development tools (e.g., Rhapsody)Preferred Qualifications:Hypervisor technologiesAdvanced Linux internalsRhapsody / model-based developmentUML-based system designMoseley Technical Services, Inc. is an AA/EEO/Veterans/Disabled Employer.What to ExpectApplicants selected for employment will be required to pass a pre-employment drug screening and background investigation, which may include education, criminal, and work history verifications.Accepted applicants will be eligible for benefits, including medical and supplemental insurance, and a 401(k) plan.
