Cake Decorator/Baker - Luscious & Sweet Gourmet Bakery

Baker Job Position: Baker Location: The Carriage House Reports: Executive Pastry Chef Status: Full Time Pay based on experience and knowledge Age: 18 & UP Responsibilities: Prepare and bake cakes, cheesecakes, pastries, and other baked goods according to bakery recipes and standards Maintain a clean and organized workstation in accordance with food safety standards Assist with ingredient preparation and inventory when needed Ensure product quality and consistency in all baked items Decorate cakes with buttercream, fondant, and other techniques Measure and mix ingredients accurately to ensure consistent quality Any other tasks assigned by management Qualifications: At least 2 years of experience in baking and cake decorating at the commercial bakery/kitchen settings Proficiency in baking techniques Basic math skills to calculate recipes, scale ingredients and manage inventory Ability to stand for long periods of time and lift up to 50lb Wedding cake decorating skills a plus Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment Critical thinking and problem-solving skills Strong time management skills Food safety certification a plus; understanding FIFO method is crucial Must have Driver's License- Driving pastries to Luscious & Sweet Bakery Benefits: Full-time employees are entitled to only medical health insurance and IRA.
