Software Developer Apprentice

DescriptionThe Software Developer Apprentice uses their technical skills to support the Software Development department. The position requires a strong desire to learn and grow skills in developing code, as well as building and improving communication abilities in a business setting.Job Responsibilities:Learns aspects of the software development life cycleWrites simple software codeApplies bug fixes and enhancements to existing applicationsTests code for technical accuracy, standards, and functional compliance to the designUses and develops written and verbal communication skills,Uses visual design sense and understanding of usability principles, to contribute to the user experience and workflow of software products.Works in tandem with other development team members with various skills and backgroundsLearns new technologies and skills that benefit the student, team, product, and companyRequirementsStrong analytical and problem-solving skillsGood written and verbal communication skillsCoursework and or experience in software developmentPrevious experience/education in software codingExperience with C#, SQL and .Net is preferredPursuing a bachelor's degree in computer science or related area
