We are seeking a Fleet Manager / Dispatcher to lead transportation, logistics, and delivery operations during both peak and off-season cycles.This is a hands-on leadership role responsible for ensuring efficient routing, regulatory compliance, and on-time delivery to retail locations while managing drivers, equipment, and logistics systems.Position SummaryThe Fleet Manager / Dispatcher oversees all transportation and logistics operations, coordinating deliveries across Connecticut, Massachusetts, Rhode Island, New Hampshire, Vermont, Maine, and parts of New York (excluding NYC). This role manages fleet assets, drivers, routing, and dock operations while leveraging technology platforms to optimize performance and cost.Key ResponsibilitiesTransportation & Logistics ManagementPlan, route, and manage delivery schedules across all service areasOptimize routes and load efficiency using systems such as Samsara or similar fleet tracking softwareCoordinate seasonal scaling, including rental equipment and third-party carriersPartner with Sales, Operations, and Replenishment teams to meet customer delivery expectationsFleet & Asset OversightManage company transportation assets including trailers, trucks, shipping carts, and dock equipmentOversee yard operations, trailer staging, and cart flowCoordinate preventative maintenance and emergency roadside supportDriver Management & ComplianceRecruit, onboard, and manage CDL drivers in compliance with DOT regulationsMaintain all required DOT records and ensure adherence to safety standardsOversee participation in drug and alcohol testing programsTrack and approve driver and dock labor hoursDock & Shipping OperationsManage shipping dock operations, including personnel and workflowEnsure proper loading accuracy, sequencing, and quality control of outbound shipmentsPrepare and verify Bills of Lading, manifests, and delivery documentationCoordinate paperwork flow for payroll and invoicingSystems & CoordinationUtilize Samsara or similar logistics platforms for tracking, routing, and reportingWork within internal systems (e.g., Avantalytics) for inventory, order flow, and execution (training provided)Collaborate with Accounting (A/R & A/P) on delivery documentation and billingQualificationsExperience in transportation, logistics, or fleet operations requiredExperience with Samsara or similar fleet management/tracking software strongly preferredProven ability to manage drivers, routing, and logistics in a fast-paced environmentStrong communication skills with the ability to coordinate across multiple teamsWorking knowledge of DOT regulations and compliance requirementsProficiency with Microsoft Office and logistics systemsAbility to adapt to seasonal demands and extended schedules during peak periodsCore SkillsOperational leadership and decision-makingRoute optimization and logistics planningProblem-solving and critical thinkingTime management and prioritizationCommunication across field, office, and external partnersCompensation & ScheduleSalary: Competitive; based on experience; $90,000 - $110,000Schedule: Variable based on season (typical range: 7:00 AM - 5:00 PM; extended hours during peak seasons)BenefitsAffordable Health InsurancePaid Time Off & Holidays401(k) PlanStable, year-round employment with seasonal growth opportunitiesWhy Grower Direct Farms?Established and growing operation serving major retail partnersOpportunity to lead logistics for a high-volume, seasonal businessHands-on role with real operational impactStrong team environment focused on execution and resultsApply TodayIf you have a background in transportation and logistics and want to lead a critical function in a growing operation, we encourage you to apply.Notice
