Endurance IT Services is seeking an experienced Server Engineer to design, implement, and support enterprise network security environments that protect business-critical systems for a client on the peninsula. This role focuses on security architecture, threat prevention, firewall administration, secure connectivity, and infrastructure protection, working closely with networking, server, and cloud teams to ensure the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of enterprise systems.This is an ideal role for someone who thrives in both hands-on technical work and strategic security improvement initiatives.Key ResponsibilitiesDesign, deploy, and maintain enterprise network security solutions across on-premises and hybrid environmentsManage and optimize firewalls, VPNs, IDS/IPS, and network access control technologiesAdminister and monitor secure network connectivity and perimeter defense systemsPerform security upgrades, patching, and lifecycle management of security infrastructureMonitor network security performance, availability, and threat activityTroubleshoot complex network security incidents and infrastructure issues across environmentsImplement and support security controls that align with business continuity and disaster recovery requirementsCollaborate with server, cloud, and networking teams on infrastructure and security projectsDocument security configurations, procedures, policies, and network security architectureSupport on-premises, hybrid, and cloud-integrated security environmentsRequired Qualifications3+ years of experience supporting enterprise network security infrastructureStrong experience with enterprise firewall platforms and network security technologies (VMware)Hands-on experience with network segmentation, VPN technologies, and intrusion detection/prevention systemsSolid understanding of network security concepts, including access control, threat mitigation, encryption, and secure communicationsFamiliarity with Active Directory, DNS, DHCPExperience with security monitoring, logging, and troubleshooting toolsAbility to work independently and in cross-functional teams
