Network Engineer

Essential Functions: Configure and install network devices and services (e.g., Routers, Switches, Firewalls, Access Points, VPN, QoS) Diagnose and resolve networking issues promptly Collaborate with employees and management to address network-related problems Implement disaster recovery procedures Installation of ethernet and fiber cabling Perform maintenance and system upgrades including firmware upgrades, patches, hot fixes and security configurations. Monitor network resource utilization, trending and capacity planning. Manage vendors for pricing, installation, maintenance and problem resolution. Qualifications: 5 to 6 years of hands-on experience. CCNP or higher certification Deep understanding of network protocols Strong CLI skills Solid understanding of OSI and TCP/IP model Extensive experience with monitoring, network diagnostics and network analytical tools Willing to travel 30% monthly Bachelor’s degree in computer science or equivalent experience Must possess a valid driver’s license Onsite Job at Gardendale Texas 8:00am to 5:00pm Monday-Friday Some overtime required including weekends No remote worker applications Skills & Abilities: Customer Service Skills: Meet internal and external commitments, respond promptly to customer needs, and solicit customer feedback to improve service.
