Job Description
Reports To : Receiving Manager/Warehouse Manager/Assistant Warehouse ManagerRole: This position has the day-to-day responsibility to schedule, identify and check product received in an organized, efficient, and safe manner in line with procedures set by the company. This includes working with manufacturers, trucking companies, Dealers and MG Project Managers. Other responsibilities may be assigned by the Warehouse Manager/Assistant Warehouse Manager/Operations Manager as well.Primary Responsibilities: Non-inclusive as follows:Schedules and manages inbound shipments.Works with the Warehouse Manager to schedule the appropriate manpower needed.Accepts and sings for deliveries from manufacturers.Checks driver paperwork to ensure all items are accounted for.Contacts manufacturer/Dealer/MG Project Manager about damages and/or discrepancies including;Items short or missingPictures of damaged product and original packagingProcesses paperwork through FFA accurately and in a timely manner.Maintains records of all received shipments.Conducts and records audits of inbound product. Report to WM/AWM.Contacts manufacturer or trucking company about shipment delays.Reports any major or unresolved shipment delays or problems to MG Project Manager.Works with MG Project Managers regarding same day/next day requests.Seeks opportunities to improve efficiency and effectiveness of the warehouse operation.Support the general efforts of the company in all areas and cooperate with all staff.Keep AWM/WM informed of the requirements needed to fulfill all tasks, such as staffing, equipment and supplies, with enough notice for the manager to provide.Qualifications:Demonstrates strong organizational skills.Pays close attention to detail.Prior experience working in a warehouse operation with direct reports.Demonstrated abilities in customer service, vendor interaction, inventory and record maintenance, staff development and process improvement.Excellent communication and organizational skills.Computer proficient in Microsoft Office software.Knowledge of office systems furniture helpful.Spanish Speaking a plusCompany Description Manning Group is an independent commercial furniture services company.Our comprehensive offering includes the installation, asset management, repair/refurbishing, Day 2 maintenance, and commercial moving of furniture, architectural walls, and millwork.
