Lifeguard
Waterpark LifeguardThis job requires working on weekends and holidays.
To ensure the safety of all swimmers and the enforcement of all state and company pool rules and regulations.
Responsibilities include:
Monitoring recreational areas to provide assistance and protection to participants.
Providing prompt and courteous service to each guest.
Understanding waterpark equipment.
Understanding and enforcing waterpark rules and regulations.
Staying updated on training requirements.
Working to prevent accidents.
Coordinating emergency procedures and providing first aid in an emergency.
Documenting all incidents that occurred while on duty.
Reporting hazards to supervisor immediately.
Opening and closing the waterpark at posted times.
Clearing waterpark at closing time.
Cleaning up pool deck areas after closing.
Other duties as assigned by management.
Physical requirements:
Work tasks are performed indoor and outdoors. Temperature varies. Must wear uniform while on duty.
Must be able to sit for long periods of time. Walking and standing are also required.
Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs. occasionally.
Requires grasping, writing, standing, sitting, walking, repetitive motions, listening and hearing ability and visual acuity.
Requires manual dexterity to use and operate all necessary equipment.
Ability to communicate effectively and remain calm in stressful situations with all guests, including children.
Ability to take control of emergency situations.
On the job training and certifications provided:
Certification in CPR, First Aid, and Lifeguard
