Think of us as the travel buddy who handles the logistics while you focus on what you do best helping people heal.Roles & ResponsibilitiesProvide safe, compassionate PCU and surgical oncology nursing care for adult and geriatric patientsMonitor telemetry and interpret dysrhythmias to rapidly identify and escalate acute changesAdminister chemotherapy, blood transfusions and IV antibiotics following facility protocolsManage complex drips including insulin and heparin, and care for chest tubesFollow strict infection prevention and fall-prevention protocols to protect vulnerable patientsDocument thoroughly and accurately in EPIC to ensure continuity of careCollaborate with interdisciplinary teams including pharmacy, PT, respiratory and social work to coordinate patient-centered careParticipate in unit-based orientation and precepting to support a smooth transition onto the floorQualificationsMinimum 2 years of nursing experience; must meet experience requirements within the 3 most recent years with at least 1 year of current specialty experience for a clinical passPCU/Stepdown experience required; surgical oncology or med-surg experience strongly preferredCurrent BLS, ACLS and NIHSS certifications requiredONS Chemotherapy certification preferredDemonstrated competency in telemetry monitoring and dysrhythmia managementCurrent, active RN licensure per state requirements and clear ability to work as a travel clinicianComfort with high-acuity, fast-paced surgical oncology patients and flexible to float to other acute care oncology unitsEducationGraduate of an accredited nursing program (ADN or BSN) preferredKnowledge & SkillsProficient with EPIC charting and computerized documentationTelemetry monitoring and interpretation of dysrhythmiasChemotherapy administration and oncologic emergency recognitionExperience with Alaris pumps, B450 monitors, bladder scanner and Stryker bedsSkilled in chest tube management, BiPAP/CPAP management and tracheostomy careStrong critical thinking, prioritization, and communication skills for rapid response situationsInfection prevention practices and fall risk mitigationBenefitsGenerous travel perks and support to make your stay comfortable while you work away from homeComprehensive medical, dental & vision coverage options to keep you healthyPaid Time Off to recharge between assignments and prevent burnoutLicensure assistance and reimbursement to help you stay compliant across statesTravel reimbursement and help with relocation logistics so you can focus on patientsProfessional development support and access to continuing educationA supportive, interdisciplinary team that values learning and growthReferral bonus program and recognition for great cliniciansTravel Perks: Explore Columbus, OHColumbus offers a lively arts and food scene — explore the Short North for galleries and restaurants, visit the Franklin Park Conservatory and Botanical Gardens, check out COSI and the Columbus Museum of Art, or stroll the Scioto Mile along the river.
