A minimum of 2 years of recent hospital bedside experience is required. Candidates must be able to start within 5 weeks. Opportunity: RN - Med Surg Tele Job Details: • 12-hour orientation required • Patient ratio of 6 patients during days, nights, and weekends • 24-bed unit with daily census of 24 patients • Weekend coverage required with every other holiday • Can be pulled to all other inpatient units as needed • Unable to guarantee specific scheduling requests such as block scheduling • Must have 2 years of experience in specialty • Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, CPI, NIHSS, Telemetry • Must be comfortable with cardiac monitoring and interpretation of dysrhythmias • Manage patients with chest pain, CAD, PVD, arrhythmias, DM, COPD exacerbation, PNA, HTN, MI, renal failure, PE, CHF, GI bleed, and syncope • Handle pre/post cardiac catheterization, PPM/AICD procedures, ablations, and vascular surgeries • Perform sheath removal at bedside and titrate cardiac/vasoactive drips • Work with telemetry monitoring, chest tubes, PCAs, epidurals, and wound vacs • Manage blood product administration, central lines, peripheral lines, and PICC lines • Epic charting system experience required • Must be part of emergency team during facility emergency events • Care for adult and geriatric patients • Interdisciplinary support includes physical therapy, respiratory services, pharmacy, and social services Facility: This medical center is a comprehensive healthcare facility offering advanced cardiac and medical-surgical services.
