The Utility Worker I must practice good cleaning habits to provide a safe and sanitary environment for all patients, visitors and staff.Essential Functions:Performs sweeping, mopping, scrubbing and additional cleaning functionsTransports trash, hazardous waste, soiled linen, and recyclable trash to appropriate disposal areasReplenishes supplies and materials in assigned areas and patient roomsInspect and ensure that all assigned areas are properly cleaned and in good repair as well as report any problemsFollows all safety and sanitation regulationsDemonstrate proper use of Personal Protective equipment (PPE)Other duties as assigned*Education:* High School Degree or GED preferredExperience:* No experience required; On-the-job training will be provided* Previous experience in housekeeping or environmental services preferredSkills & Abilities:Able to write and understand written and oral communicationsEngage with staff and patients in a professional mannerAble to use housekeeping equipmentMercy Health is an equal opportunity employer.As a Mercy Health associate, you're part of a Misson that matters.
