This role is ideal for an experienced chemist who has successfully taken projects from concept through validation and implementation and is ready to step into a leadership position while remaining technically engaged in the lab.The ideal candidate will combine strong scientific expertise with leadership capability, guiding a small team while driving innovation, product development, and process improvements.Key ResponsibilitiesLead research and development projects from concept through validation and implementationProvide technical leadership and mentorship to a small team of chemists and laboratory staffDesign and execute experiments, analyze data, and interpret results to support product and process innovationDevelop new formulations, materials, or processes aligned with business objectivesTroubleshoot technical challenges and optimize existing products or manufacturing processesMaintain accurate laboratory documentation and ensure adherence to safety, regulatory, and quality standardsCollaborate cross-functionally with production, quality, and regulatory teamsPresent technical findings, project updates, and recommendations to leadershipEvaluate and prioritize R&D initiatives based on business needs, technical feasibility, and available resourcesRequired QualificationsBachelor's or Master's degree in Chemistry or a related scientific field5+ years of hands-on experience as a chemist in an industrial, manufacturing, or research environment1-2 years of leadership experience (team lead, project lead, or supervisory role)Experience developing projects from concept through validation and implementationStrong knowledge of experimental design, laboratory best practices, and data analysisExcellent problem-solving, critical thinking, and communication skillsPreferred QualificationsExperience with product development or formulation chemistryFamiliarity with regulatory and quality compliance standardsAbility to manage multiple R&D projects simultaneouslyExperience working in a research or manufacturing environmentWhat We're Looking ForA credible technical leader who can confidently guide projects and teamsA hands-on scientist who enjoys both lab work and leadership responsibilitiesSomeone who can bridge R&D and manufacturing to drive real-world implementation of innovationsINDBH#LI-ES1
