We are committed to operational excellence and continuous improvement.Plant Engineer (Engineering Project Manager) OverviewThe Plant Engineer serves as the primary site resource for the engineering design process, advising operations and maintenance teams on system improvements, troubleshooting, and problem solving. This position is highly task-oriented, coordinating internal teams along with outside contractors and suppliers to complete small and large-scale capital equipment and facility improvement projects. The Plant Engineer is a primary overseer of project plans and change management procedures.What You Will DoUphold a genuine regard for safety, ensuring employees understand and follow safety guidelines and recognizing individuals for safety suggestions.Uphold the highest ethical standards, serving as a role model to other plant leaders and team members. Acting on unsafe or unsanitary conditions. Shutting down unsafe equipment and correct upset conditions promptly.Capital Project ManagementServe as Project Manager for major capital projects from start to finishProvide engineering support on projects assigned to Operational LeadersManage contractor activities, setting clear expectations to ensure timely and quality completion of projects while enforcing all plant policies and procedures with contractors included in scope of managed projects.Engineering Design ReviewDevelop and maintain supportive relationships with business unit teams, corporate engineers, and managementSupport troubleshooting of mechanical systemsResearch automation technologies and help design efficient manufacturing workflowsLead project meetings, setting schedules and agendas, and engaging participants to actively contributeDistribute project status update reports to keep stakeholders informed of progress, challenges, and key changesConduct Management of Change and safety design reviews on all proposed projects, installed equipment, relocated equipment, and building modifications. - Champion company stewardship by assessing and prioritizing project options with an acceptable ROIPlant Maintenance SupportCollaborate with the Maintenance teamsAssess equipment for obsolescence risks or potentially inefficient mechanical designAssist in the training of Maintenance apprentices and guide team on engineering conceptsEducation / professional backgroundBachelor's degree in Engineering or other related field preferred.2-4 years of related experience is preferredOvercome obstacles and setbacks and react with positivity and optimism in the face of unforeseen challengesSalary: ** $100 - $120K USD annually (based on experience)Hours: 7:00 AM – 4:00 PM, with additional hours as needed based on project demands.ProAmpac PerksOpportunity to be part of a dynamic and highly motivating work environment where you can develop your potential and launch an exciting careerDevelopment opportunities where your input makes a difference.A competitive compensation package, 401K plan and flexible benefits that are customizable to you and your family’s needsJoin ProAmpac and make an #impact!You Should Be Proficient InProject ManagementMechanical Troubleshooting SkillsProcess EngineeringMechanical Design & Engineering
